Assistant Chef – Amhuinnsuidhe Castle, Isle of Harris, HS3 3AS
Amhuinnsuidhe Castle is one of Scotland's premier sporting estates. We are now looking to recruit an Assistant Chef from mid May to October.
The castle enjoys the highest reputation for its standard of accommodation and hospitality, catering for an appreciative clientele.
The job requires a hard-working individual with the necessary skills and interest in food, the successful applicant will work under the supervision of the head chef, duties to include but not exhaustive:
Preparation and cooking of meals for guest, to include breakfast, picnic style lunches, afternoon teas, and four course evening meals.
To assist in ensuring a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and to ensure that safe working practices are followed.
Assist in stock taking and storage of stock, including checking deliveries.
Covering the chef on their day off, running the kitchen and supervision of kitchen staff.
Completing daily kitchen checks using the safer food, better business system.

We are currently looking to recruit seasonal staff from mid May to October for
housekeeping/dining room positions. Applicants will have ideally had previous experience of working within the industry at a similar level however this is not essential.
Training will be given in all areas but previous housekeeping experience would be preferred.
The castle is located in one of the most beautiful, yet remote locations in Scotland.

HEAD CHEF Amhuinnsuidhe Castle, Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides
Amhuinnsuidhe Castle is one of Scotland’s most remote, premier sporting estates which enjoys the highest reputation for its standard of accommodation and hospitality, catering for an appreciative clientele. We are now looking for a Head Chef for our 2017 Season which runs from May to October.
The Head Chef will be responsible for the training and motivation of the kitchen team, comprising a Second Chef and two Kitchen Assistants; ensuring that all relevant legislation is complied with whilst maintaining the highest standards of cuisine and presentation.
We are very passionate about what we do and have a clear vision in the style of food we provide for our guests and as such the successful candidate will work closely with the proprietors and suppliers in delivering menus which utilise the fantastic local produce, seafood and game.
This could be the first Head Chef role for a passionate upcoming Sous Chef wishing to further their career.
Attractive, sea view accommodation is provided.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
