TAOBH NA MARA

MEAVAIG, SOUTH HARRIS

Taobh Na Mara is a delightful modernised croft cottage on the edge of sea-loch Kendibig, part of the east coast's Bays of Harris. Although let to guests, it remains a family holiday home, retaining a special, warm atmosphere.


The cottage is self-catering, with:  

• A kitchen/dining-room.
• Cosy sitting-room with open fire, CD-player and CDs plus a small stock of jigsaws and board games but, deliberately, no TV.
• There is a downstairs bathroom/WC, while upstairs there are:
• Three bedrooms, each with a superb view over the sea-loch, and
• A shower-room/WC.

Facilities:  

• Linen and towels are provided.
• BT payphone.
• Electricity by £1 coin meter.
• Heating is all-electric throughout.

Payment is required in full, by cheque only, one month prior to arrival.

Taobh Na Mara is ideally situated for access to the mountains of North Harris and their guardian golden eagles, while the west coast beaches offer silver sands and the renowned machair of wild flowers.
